I hope that 2014 will be YOUR best year ever…….
Each year at this time many people reflect on the previous year and set New Years Resolutions. They are pumped and ready to take on the year ahead with great enthusiasm and expectations…their goals in hand and their resolve in place. Yet, within just a few weeks the resolve wanes and the goals become frustrating. Over the years of dealing with many of my own and my family’s personal health issues I have realized that the key to long-lasting success is to develop habits……new habits, positive changes that replace our old-self defeating behaviors. In the Bible we are told to “put off the old, and put on the new”. Habits whether good or bad control our lives. We initially shape them, often from a young age then they shape us.
Are you in a place where you are tired of being run over by your good intentions yet find yourself by the end of January right back where you were in December? If so, please join me in a New Year approach that can last for a life-time. The truth of the matter is that we need several mindset changes for our desires to come to fruition.
Lasting change requires telling yourself the truth about where you are and how you got there. Until you know the truth about why you do what you do and get to the root of your habits, you will not be set free and your change will likely be short-lived. Change requires wise choices on a daily basis. It requires a new way of thinking. It requires a power greater than yourself and encouragement from others to stay on course to be successful. It requires a resolve to stay the course when it gets hard. Often change will get harder before it gets easier and the reality is that some patterns or habits are so ingrained that you will never be able to uproot them on your own. They are tough and need to be tackled together with a few close friends. If you are truly ready to make lasting changes this year then please join me in our brand new 12 week class “New Year, New You: Destination Transformation”.
Our 12-week class begins on January 6th with a Nutrition Seminar.
